CONTACT LENSES MANIPULATION AND MAINTENANCE
Never use tap water or saliva to clean the lenses or case. In case of eye redness, pain, discharge, or noticeable sensitivity to light, discontinue use and consult an optometrist immediately. It is recommended that you not sleep while wearing contact lenses. As much as possible, avoid wearing lenses in the shower, hot tub, swimming pool, or any body of water (lake, etc.).
For each new bottle of cleaning solution, use a new case and discard the old one. It is recommended to not use the same lens case for more than 3 months. A contact lens is considered a foreign body on the eye’s surface. Thus, it is recommended that you undergo an annual optometry exam in order to verify your eye health. For environmental purposes, throw your old lenses in the garbage (do not throw them in the toilet or sink).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always wash and dry your hands before handling your lenses.
- Cleaning: Rub your lens in the palm of your hand with a drop of cleaning solution for about 20 seconds. Move from the centre out in order to eliminate deposits. Rinse with the solution.
- To disinfect: Pour the solution into the lens case and soak the lenses for 6 hours.
- Throw away the solution each morning. Rinse the case with the solution and let it dry upside down.

OPHTHALMIC LENSES MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to clean your glasses using an OPTOPLUS glasses cleaner and to wipe your glasses with a microfibre cloth designed to clean glasses in order to avoid scratching them.
Avoid using household cleaning products, disinfectants, acetone, and liquid soaps which could damage your glasses or leave residue and cloud your vision.
We recommend using a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid using paper towels, rags containing silicone, tissue paper, or old rags, as they may scratch your glasses.
The stems should also be cleaned often because, being in contact with the skin, oil tends to accumulate and change the decorative finish of the frames.
Well-maintained, your glasses will last longer and be more comfortable.
